  • Merchandising Manager, Private Label

    Job Description:

    The Merchandising Manager, Private Label leads the end-to-end development and execution of Astral’s private label strategy by translating customer insights and market trends into profitable, on-brand product assortments that include apparel and accessories. This role bridges product development, sourcing, finance, and marketing, ensuring every collection reflects Astral’s aesthetic standards and meets customer demand across timing, pricing, and profitability targets. The Manager is responsible for category planning, assortment creation, data integrity, and commercialization kick-off, from concept through hand-off to sourcing.


    Job Responsibilities:

    1. Assortment Planning & Creative Development

    • Gather customer insights to define private label product needs (styles, volumes, pricing, graphics).
    • Develop seasonal mood boards, assortments, and rolling twelve-month product calendars for Astral’s showroom and corporate client roster (5–10 studio brands).
    • Ensure assortments reflect fashion, accessory and graphic trends relevant to Astral’s core fitness customers.
    • Partner with sourcing and vendors to request and evaluate new styles, fabrics, and accessories.
    • Maintain brand graphic standards across on-product brand usage, labeling, neck hits, hangtags, and packaging.
    • Collaborate with marketing to generate and execute graphic concepts, photography, and product storytelling.

    2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management

    • Partner with Sales to align private label development with customer timelines and promotional calendars.
    • Work with Sourcing to track milestones and ensure timely progression from concept through assortment lock-down.
    • Own the pre-order initiation and close out process.
    • Collaborate with Finance to review product data sheets, validate costing, and confirm pricing strategy prior to customer presentation.
    • Coordinate with Marketing and Sales on go-to-market and commercialization plans.
    • Respond to specific customer requests and provide tailored assortment support.

    3. Systems, Data, & Process Management

    • Own all data entry and management in SFDC and Shopify through assortment lock-down.
    • Set and maintain MSRP consistency across lines.
    • Ensure all vendor and product information is complete for purchase order and tech sheet creation.
    • Keep SFDC updated with final graphics, product descriptions, and project statuses.
    • Maintain and update product data sheets (currently in Excel) through lock-down.
    • Routinely meet with cross-functional partners to track progress and mitigate risks to customer delivery dates.

    4. Category & Financial Management

    • Monitor the performance of showroom and customer-specific drops, integrating learnings into future assortments.
    • Develop strategies to expand customer-specific or small-batch customization programs, including a catalog of approved styles and services by fitness modality.
    • Execute order submission processes for customer review and approval.


    Requirements:

    • Strong creative and commercial instincts with an ability to balance brand vision and financial goals.
    • Highly organized, detail oriented, with proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
    • Proficient in merchandising system and Excel-based planning tools.
    • Collaborative communicator who thrives in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
    • Exhibit flexibility to accommodate changing needs of the business including limited business travel when necessary.
    • Be familiar with and/or capable of learning standard and specific office tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce.com, UPS, Zenoti, SFDC, Shopify, Mindbody, ClubReady, etc.
    • Ability to stand, bend, lift, twist and work with inventory up to 40 lbs. when necessary.

  • Financial Analyst

    Job Description:

    The Financial Analyst will be analyzing, maintaining, managing, and reporting
    prompt and accurate financial information to the Director of Finance. The responsibilities include running and analyzing sales and marketing data analytics to support internal and external customers. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable execution will also fall will also be the responsibility of the Accounting Analyst. Collaborating across all departments within Astral to achieve operational excellence with regards to accounting practices is the goal of this position.


    Job Responsibilities:

    • Month end close journal entries in account reconciliation; cost of goods sold, returns, expenses, customer rebates, etc.
    • Budgeting, forecasting, analysis of merchandise by franchise, product category and vendor.
    • Customer reporting and analysis supporting Showroom Sales and Marketing teams.
    • HubSpot and Power BI reporting and analysis to include in monthly leadership reviews.
    • Complete Inventory movement support reconciliation monthly.
    • Maintain accounting system ensuring data is entered in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Reconciling between the business financials (QuickBooks) and related financial systems such as Shopify, Online Banking, SFDC, Amex, PayPal.
    • Oversee accuracy of 3-Way match for direct spending process.
    • Oversee Indirect Spend Process.
    • Oversee Accounts Receivable.
    • Receive checks from the mail and make sure they are deposited.
    • Cut checks via quick books when needed.
    • Other tasks as assigned.


    Requirements:

    • Four-year bachelor’s degree or other specialized certification/degree with an emphasis on accounting and/or Finance or at least 2 years in the Accounting and/or Finance Field.
    • Proactive analytical skills and ability to manage upward to remote supervision.
    • Analyze trends and variances with the ability to solve and/or recommend changes.
    • Excellent cross-departmental communication skills - verbal, written and electronic.
    • Maintain flexible work schedule daily to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
    • Flexibility to accommodate changing needs of the business, including business travel.
    • Lift up to 15-40 lbs. consistently and repeatedly along with bending and twisting.
    • Demonstrated ability to use and/or learn all business systems.

  • Part Time Returns Associate

    Job Description:

    The Returns Associate handles the entire returns process on the Franchise and independent side of the business. This includes but is not limited to processing returns and keeping all key leaders apprised of their status.


    Job Responsibilities:

    • Process all aspects of Astral returns within 3 business days of delivery to Astral.
    • Check for paperwork and the return postmark date.
    • Inspect item for tags, damages, and then process return thru Rise.
    • Fold back pieces and put back in poly wrap.
    • Accurately return product to bins.
    • Manage return shipment of packages that do not delivery with an Astral RA label.

    Secondary Responsibilities (if returns are caught up):

    • Picking and packing open studio fulfillment orders.
    • Other departmental duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • 15 hours per week consistently and maybe more if needed preferably in afternoon between 1pm and 4 pm. Days of the week worked are flexible.
    • Ability to lift, bend, stand and twist.
    • Show excellent communication skills in person and electronically.
    • Ability to use basic computer programs.

    Hourly position $15 per hour

    Reports to Jenny Thomas, Manager of Fulfillment.
